Hi, I’m Thomas. I retired from programming four years ago, just before AI completely transformed software development. Since then, I’ve learned to program all over again—this time with AI as my coding partner. It turns out that letting AI handle most of the heavy lifting is a lot of fun!
ZamarApp is probably the best-known project I’ve worked on (although, to be fair, AI wrote most of the code). I don’t actively manage the site because it’s mainly aimed at Arabic speakers, and I don’t speak Arabic. Fortunately, several other developers contribute apps and keep the project growing.
My biggest hobby is keeping chickens. I love my feathered friends, and here’s the main flock.
Then there’s Blixten, who was far too busy to pose for the group photo.
And this is Sara. She’s a little nervous because she’s a mini hen, and the others tend to pick on her simply because she’s so tiny.
Lastly, there’s Naomi, the newest member of the flock. At just 14 weeks old, she’s still quite skittish—and even little Sara likes to remind her who’s boss!
My other hobby is radio-controlled airplanes. I’m trying to get back into it after taking a break. Progress has been a little slow, mostly because I just haven’t had the energy lately. Still, here’s the last airplane I flew about a month ago. You might notice the engine hanging rather precariously from the nose! That’s because I crashed the plane into a very tall tree, then climbed the tree to rescue it. The airplane survived… mostly.
Finally, here’s my Discus-Launched Glider (DLG). I bought the kit but still haven’t assembled it. It would probably only take a few hours to finish, but somehow I haven’t found the time—or the energy—to get started yet.
